Which programs/masters/postbacs allow for a direct entry into their medical school? For example, Tulane has the program for anatomy where you are granted conditional acceptance...if you get above a certain GPA/percentile, you are accepted into their medical school. Are there any other programs/masters/postbacs that are like this? Where you are given a conditional acceptance to their medical school if you do well enough in the program?

Does anyone know how easy it is to get into these programs (i.e. is it easier to get into these programs than to get into the medical school directly by applying through AMCAS)? Also, how easy is it to do well and actually matriculate into the program?

Thank you!

For allopathic schools Tulane and Temple come to mind. However, I believe to gain admission into Tulane's program you have to be currently waitlisted at a medical school. For osteopathic schools, there are a couple. VCOM has a guaranteed acceptance w/o interview if you maintain certain stats in the program. PCOM and LECOM both have guaranteed interviews for people who maintain certain stats in the program.

Hello! From my personal research for allopathic schools aside from Tulane and Temple I've also found Drexel's Pathway to Medical School Post-Bacc and NEOMED in Ohio as well. I found the same as Dr. Gains when it comes to Osteopathic schools. There's a number of other interview-guaranteed schools but not sure if you also want those too! I've heard a number of friends who told me a number of their classmates in med schools came from the school's respective post-bacc so depending on the school I'm sure the conditional interview helps 🙂

I would be curious to know more about the other interview-guaranteed schools. Thank you!

LECOM-Erie Master of Medical Science is one of the best as far as guaranteeing an interview and offering admission to anyone that gets a 3.2 or higher in the program and you are eligible to matriculate at their Medical or Dental school.

Are you currently enrolled in the program?

More DO Interviews outside LECOM/VCOM: Touro COM, Touro Nevada (have a friend whose brother got into Touro Nevada DO program after the program)

More Allopathic Interviews: Charles R. Drew, Rosalind Franklin, UNLV-Reno (deadline passed and gotta live in Nevada for Reno acceptance), Virginia Commonwealth, EVMS (they don't say they guarantee it, but also said 100% got interviewed the past year so), Tufts published 50% students get interviews

Also Boston MAMS allows facilitated consideration, so not an interview, but some extra consideration

Sorry I thought I had more but I guess not 🙁 but I hope it still helps!!

Thanks for the reply! 🙂 For programs like Charles R. Drew and Rosalind Franklin, is it guaranteed interview or guaranteed acceptance to medical school? Also, what is the acceptance rate from the program to the school?

For Virginia Commonwealth, are you referring to the CERT program?
