So I've been applied to schools in the southern California region and I've noticed that certain programs emphasize on their "extensive networks" to future applicants. USC, for instance, is known to have great networking. But it seems like almost all programs have their own networks. Where exactly would the differences lie between the different networks? For instance, USC's tuition is so much greater, but does that mean that their networks are that much greater than the other networks?

NYU without a doubt. they have incredible connections. very expensive program though.

Thanks. When people say that a network includes "incredible connections," what does that entail exactly? Does it mean they have primo access better clinics for rotations? Better job options for their students with better pay?

I'm trying to justify in my own head why paying more for a school would be better when I feel like all schools already have networks established.

Well The one personal I know who went to NYU is pretty upset about the amount of debt she's in. NYU will probably get you access to those big practices that offer junior partnership, which is clutch. Then again, you could save money and just get good at networking. I'm probably over simplifying things, ...

Maybe you should ask this question when you interview at school. It seems like a good question to ask.
