I'm a 25 year-old potential career-changer considering a post-bacc. I have a 3.7+ GPA and a 32+ ACT, so I believe numbers-wise I should be competitive for most of the post-baccs (although my degree is in a weaker business major), correct?

I lack volunteer experience, and plan to start volunteering at a local hospital in a 5 hours/week program, resulting in ~150 hours at post-bacc application. Unfortunately, they only offer clerical and transportation/greeter volunteer opportunities, which I know aren't the greatest. I hope that combined with a few shadowing days with different physicians will suffice at the post-bacc application stage.

I plan to apply this fall for a 2010/2011 post-bacc, targeting Goucher, Bryn Mawr, and Scripps. I realize they are ~$15k more than the HES option, but I find that worth it for the linking opportunity.

My question is, are there any other post-baccs with multiple, achievable linkages to consider? Or is one better off saving and attending HES if Goucher/Bryn Mawr/Scripps don't work out?

Hunter College in NYC has two linkages, I believe, one of them being Cornell Med. Columbia's program has a number of excellent linkages as well. Both Hunter and Columbia are ~2year programs (Columbia has a 1.5 year accelerated sequence that starts in the spring, however), which may not be what you're looking for.

If you want to link to schools in NYC, Columbia has the best linkage options, which is a big advantage. The post-bac courses there are very tough and if you do well in them, I am pretty sure you can gain admissions into good schools. The adcoms view the work done at Columbia very highly, especially the schools in NY.

I'm pretty sure Penn has linkages and so does Tufts.

A fair number of "formal post-bac" programs have linkages but Bryn Mawr has, by far, the most.
