So on my AMCAS application I put that I will have completed 1000 hours of scribing by the time of my matriculation next August. Unexpectedly, I found a job opportunity that would pay significantly more and allow me to pay my bills more comfortably (scribing is minimum wage). The problem is that to date I have only completed 500 of these 1000 hours. I had intended to keep working this job until my matriculation and would have completed all of the hours if not for this opportunity.
Based on other threads I have seen, the consensus seems to be that this is fine if I separated 'completed' and 'projected' hours on my application. However, I did not make this distinction (now I realize this was probably stupid of me, though it is allowed as per my research). Should I just keep the scribing job and hit 1000 hours? Contact any schools I might get accepted to about the situation? Or just take the job and move on?
Thank you.
