Hey,

I just got my confirmation email for my NBDE Part I exam at the 1 Penn Plaza Prometric Testing Center. At the bottom of the email it stated:

"*Please be advised, that it is prohibited to bring food or beverages into the testing center and in some cases into the building where your test center is located. Please be advised that due to these restrictions, you will need to make other meal accommodations for your test day."

Does this mean we can't bring our lunch and leave it in the locker they provide? Are we allowed to leave the building to get lunch during the mid-test break then?

I'd really rather not be starving during this exam.

Call your prometric center and find out if that is the policy. If so,ask them about any near by restaurants. They should have a good idea. You can leave the center in your optional break time but keep track of the time.Your exam starts automatically after the 1-hr break.Maybe someone can get food for you.Good luck!

I think this may vary from testing centers...we were allowed to bring food and leave it in the lockers provided. There were plenty of people that ate their lunch during the break at the center...I chose to leave and get some subway (kinda needed to get out of the place and give myself a mental break).

Thanks guys,
Knowing you can leave without them claiming your first born, I will probably leave during the break to get a bagel or something. There are always bagels.

I would suggest something nutritious and light like some energy bars.Good luck anyway!

I agree...take something to snack on during the exam (I took a few balance energy bars)...I took a couple of five minute breaks during the exam to relax and decompress before I went back.

Good luck on your exam!

I got a similar message in mail for the same center, but on calling them they told us that we can take our food and we are provided with a locker..
