I'm trying to schedule my DAT (aiming for end of July), but there are NO available dates in July (except for 8 July) and August at the center I'm looking at.

Is this normal??? Have they just not opened those slots yet, or am I late to the registration step?

Call that individual Prometric center and ask (sometimes they have really weird schedules). I find it surprising every date except for one is taken up during both those months this far in advance, but it's possible that specific testing center is in a very populated area and a lot of students take tests like these during the summer. Have you tried checking the availability of dates in other testing centers in your vicinity?

The prometric centers have other exams there as well like the MCAT, those ambulance exams and a whole bunch other. If one of those major exams are on that date (Say the MCAT), there is a possibility that you can't get a spot then. Though it's weird for it to be filled so far out ahead, do you live in like NYC?

I looked into other nearby testing centers and found some offering the dates I wanted!

I AM NOW REGISTERED FOR THE DAT!!!! HUZZAH!!!!!

I plan on taking DAT in July. Is it too early to sign up now?

@Artdent97 , it's not too early.

So once you submit the application to register for the DAT with the ADA, they give you a six-month block from the moment you submit the app. to take the DAT. You have to take the test within that six month block. When I submitted my app, they gave me till August 9th to take the DAT. If you want to take it in July, you can do it now!
