Prometrics practice vs real thing

anyone know how the prometrics practice compares to the real thing? I'm doin' not-so-well on kaplan (50s to 60s) and got decent scores on the practice tests with released qs (70s and 80s).

it's alot easier than the real thing. The real thing isn't so straightforward - 80% of the q's on my exam were multi-step.

What do you mean by prometrics practice? Do they have actual practice material? Is it different from the NBME?

you can schedule a practice exam at the same prometric site where you take step 1. it costs something like $45 (?) and uses the free nbme exam that is available on the website (correct me if i am wrong).
