Promoting health of multi-cultural society

Any inputs of how you guys think you can promote health in this society. Just want to see what you guys think of it.

Do you mean like surface stuff like getting more Americans to exercise more, quit smoking, eat better, etc. Or do you mean aggressively fighting for the rights of the un- and under-insured to gain access to needed medical resources (socialized medicine, anyone?) and to improve the quality of care to more Americans by providing cultural competency in medicine to all physicians and other healthcare providers??? Just a couple of ideas....
