LADIES:

Is it okay to wear a skirt-suit? I have pretty long-legs and know to wear a knee-length skirt (at least)...but is it more acceptable to wear slacks?

Also, for the undershirt, does it HAVE to have a collar?

Thanks.

Skirt suit is perfectly okay as long as it's not too short and at least knee length 🙂 Not sure about the undershirt part though?

However, I'm wondering if it's okay to to leave your jacket unbuttoned? For instance, if I were to wear a skirts suit or dress suit, must I button the jacket?

I had an interview last year and the majority of the girls wore skirts (myself included). One girl had her blazer unbuttoned the whole day and in my opinion it looked really sloppy. I would suggest keeping your blazer buttoned, it gives it a more 'clean' and professional look. Having said that, the suit posted above looks almost more like a dress with a blazer over it...which I think would be okay because it's part of the outfit.

i'm not sure if anyone uses eBay on here, but here's what I did:
1) Go to clothing stores to find your correct suit size and also figure out what suit brands/manufactures you like
2) Go on eBay and look for suits in your size from brands that you like
3) Once you get your suit, take it to a tailor to get it fitted correctly

you can seriously get a nice brooks brothers suit for around $40. this might take a little longer than buying from a physical store, but you can really save a lot of money!

dress shirts are also super cheap as well
