I will most likely withdraw one of my applications pre-interview if I get one for this school, whats the proper way to go about this? I'm thinking email or a letter, is that too informal? Anybody have experience with what the protocol on this is?

A simple phone call is all that's necessary.

This works, but both times I called up a school they told me to email the dean or someone in the school that I was withdrawing my application. I'm sure you'll get the same thing. It's almost certainly so that they can print it out and put it in your file. Maybe proof that you withdrew haha.

Anyhow make a phone call first and tell them that you wish to withdraw your app. They *probably* won't ask why, but you never know...

I actually just wrote the dean of one school how to withdraw my application for personal reasons. He said I needed to send a letter addressed to the admissions committee. I think that is probably the best thing to do, so they have a record of it on file.
