following prophylactic administration of amoxycillin, a patient becomes hypotensive n itchy n has difficulty breathing. which of thew following is most probably occouring?
1, cd4 lymphocytes r secreating lymphokines resulting in edema
2. amoxy reacts with Ige n activates cytotoxic t cells to release lymphokines
3.IgG n complement induse chemotaxis of neutrophils out of vessels
4.Ige bound to cells results in histamin release
ans=2..... why not 4😕

i would choose 4 too

in the same exam:
iodine deficiency lead to increase:
TSH
Thyroglobulin
ans thyroglobulin
why not TSH???

also
patient with hyperparathyroidism
following region of TMJ articular surface absent:
proliferative zone
fibrocartilagenous zone
calicified cartilage
ans proliferative zone;;;
why??
i was thinking fibrocartilagenous zone as q says articular surface

For the first question , it's a typical penicillin allergy... 2 is the right answer

Iodine deficiency will lead definitely to increase in TSH not thyroglobulin

exactly it is a penicillin reaction which is anaphylactic type I reaction
Ig E effect on mast cell ...
🙁

i got problems with the came questions as well........
i thought TSH too......coz thyroglobulin shud just stay there in the colloid..... its not secreated ..... right ......
n for the tmj i thought calcified cartilage wud be absent coz of the hyperparthyroidism.... loss of calcium frm the area.....
