Somewhere in the deep recesses of my brain I remember something about how if you're going to use propofol long-term, eg as drip in the ICU, it needs to be run through a particular type of IV tubing (that does or doesn't contain some particular chemical component). Haven't been able to find anything to this effect. Am I totally smoking crack here? Am I thinking of some other drug? 😕

NTG leeches out plastic from regular IV tubing (which is why it comes in a glass bottle) but most places do not bother to use the special tubing.

I dont remmeber anything about propofol

Yeah dude, you be smokin' crack for sure. Go read the package insert, if it doesn't say you need special IV tubing, don't worry about it. Regards, ----Zip
