What do you all think about dorming during PT school (at least for the first year)? I will be an out of state student so I think that it might be better for me to get comfortable first to my surroundings and classmates before finding an apartment/roommates. My school gives me the option to choose where I want to dorm so I'll most likely be with all upperclassmen/graduate students (I have never dormed before so I don't know if that makes a difference). Also, I currently don't have a car so dorming is the most convenient choice for me just until clinicals start.

Its up to you. I found dorms to be noisy and overpriced.

Dorms are usually asthetically nicer than apartment buildings, but they are sooo over priced. My school has optional housing for grad students, but its more than twice the price of leasing an apartment.
