Pros/Cons list of school/interview feedback

Would anyone contribute if I made an anonymous spreadsheet similar to the II tracker but that instead includes med schools where you interviewed and things that you liked about the school and didn't like? While MSAR has a ton of useful data (and likewise the SDN interview feedback pages), I know a lot of med students do this on the interview trail for residency and I'm just curious if y'all would be interested before I go through the hassle of making it. Thoughts?

I'd say go for it. Although there is already an interview feedback part of SDN, I find a lot of the responses there to be pretty darn old (even 10+ years ago)

I would enjoy having that. As several users have said, a lot of the data in the SDN feedback pages are outdated (albeit still useful). It would be great to have a resource for interviews that have taken place strictly during 2019-2020, so that students can have the most up-to-date expectations going into their interviews.

Also, updated with one school. I don't remember UChicago very well so I won't do that.....Will add Pitt, Mayo, Harvard and UMich the day of interview.

Nah, I wish. Granted, the schools I do have interviews at are a cush selection, but volume has not been on my side (likely due to the top-heavy nature of my list). Not complaining! Git that success!

Doesn't geisel give institutional scholarships for everything above $42,700?

The financial packet also mentioned avg student debt to be around 180k, so a little under the nat'l avg (200k I think)

I feel like that aid talk might have been a CYA kind of thing, because their financial aid policy seems to indicate that anyone with need in excess of $42,700 is considered "needy"

I always thought that what they meant was if you have the means to afford the extra 40k (such as parental financial help, etc) they will not award the scholarship, but that if you do not have that then they will. They told us that we would need to fill out a FAFSA and Dartmouth specific financial need form. From the talk, they seemed to say that the scholarships are only given to those who of lower SES status (which I understand, just the 80k is a lot). Now, I could've completely misunderstood them ofc, which is likely considering financial talk isn't my strong suit.

I think this rocks because I like reading as much as I can about every school. But as an additional resource, Arnold on premeddit (a few years ago) and another premeddit user (this past year) put together a similar thread of pros/cons/impressions! Additional reading for any one who is interested:

Oh yeah forgot about this - v good resource but misses some of the “lower tier” schools that’s im hoping we can remedy. Also, a bunch of schools have changed stuff in the past few years!
