What is it and how does it compare to a dissection lab?

Thanks,

D...

prosection means that you and a group of other students dissect a region or section of the body and observe other students work on the other areas. This decreases the number of cadavers needed and shortens the length of learning all of the gross anatomy (visible anatomy). In turn, prosection does not have as much hands on experience. Most of the time you are observing already dissected parts. I cant give real insight as to whether it is better or worse than full dissection.
