Since Prostaglandin causes vasodilation of the glomerulus afferent arteriole-->decreases salt/water rentention-->increases urine output

Can PGE be used as a diuretic?

I was learning NSAIDs how its contraindicated for acute HF.
 
I'm sure it could but I've never seen it. Prostaglandins have lots of systemic effects so that's probably why, since there are many more benign medications out there.
 
It probably works in theory, but the more common diuretics have such a more localized and potent result, that PGE simply wouldn't be ideal.

And as @scrublyfe21 mentioned, it will have a lot more unwanted systemic effects.
