Hey guys another random question that I am failing to understand.

Prostatectomy usually results in erectile dysfunction. Is it because of damage to sacral parasympathetic (s2-s4) OR pelvic splanchic nerves? or inferior hypogastric nerves?

sorry, really bad with this pelvic anatomy stuff.

Erectile dysfunction is because of damage to Pelvic Splanchnic Nerves that arise from the Sacral Nerves (S2-S4) and provide parasympathetic innervation to the Penis. The Hypogastric Nerve is responsible for emission not erection. Look up Pg 575, FA 2016
