Hello. For the MCAT do we need to know which specific proteases cleave specific amino acids? TPR says that it does not need to be memorized, but I feel as if I saw a protease question on one of my diagnostic tests. Thank You.

no i do not believe that you need to - you'd probably have enough hints/info within the question stem or passage to figure it out.

trust tpr. they know what they're doing.

I'm sure you know what proteases do, that should suffice. Assuming you aren't a troll, that is far too much detail for the MCAT.

The MCAT is not based on memorization, it's a reasoning test first. You have to know general biological/chemical/physics principles and apply from there.

I am absolutely not calling you that.

Often times people will sign up with accounts, have minimal posts and ask questions to try and stir people up or incite envy, anger, etc.

You were obviously serious, so I will say this, do not get hung up on the very specific, like your question above. There is enough "simple" material to worry about recognizing, get the basics down and know how to use them.
