DENTON, Texas (AP) -- About 40 people gathered outside an Eckerd pharmacy Monday, protesting what they said was a decision to deny a rape victim a prescription for the morning-after pill.

I think that Eckerd knows what is best for a patient in this situation. Really, after being raped a woman and her doctor are not in a position to make decisions regarding her health. That is more appropriately the job of a RETAILER.

(note sarcasm)

If it were up to me, I'd fire the pharmacist in question. If that pharmacist has that big a moral problem with dispensing medications for contraception, he or she should find a job in a Catholic hospital somewhere where he won't have his little head bothered by such moral dilemmas. I don't think he belongs in a retail pharmacy if he's going to overrule his patient's and the patient's physician's medical judgement with his moral judgement.
