Provera Dosing

Sorry to be a newbie pharmie and spam like this but. Why would someone be on Provera 20mg QID? Is that legit dosing? Nothing pops up in micromedex and tarascon does have 30-100mg/day as a dosing, but only for short term.

Might be used as a respiratory stimulent in COPD patients with CO2 retention. I've seen this done occasionally over the years, although data to support it is sparse--mostly mild improvement in blood gas parameters. A little data in OSA as well.
