If im applying to lets say anesthesiology, and offcourse prelim IM, the PS shoudl be 2 seperate ones correct?
Now the one being sent to the prelim IM, should it talk about why i want to get into IM??? here is where im confused, bc i wouldnt want them to get the idea that im in the end interested in joining the IM program for the sake of IM

This is asked and answered, in some form, at least once a week.

You can send your advanced-discipline PS to prelims, they know why you're applying to prelims and what field you're going into. Some people include 1-2 sentences about how that particular prelim year (med/surg/TY) could help them, but that's optional.
