Hey,

I just sent in my app to the Atlantic Bridge Program. In my PS I did not talk about Ireland at all, but only how I would be an asset to the school. This is all the PS requirements say to put in it. Does anyone have any proved/validated comments on whether or not it is imperative to say stuff about Ireland in the PS.

Thanks a bundle!!!🙂

Hey,

You did not hve to comment on why you're interested in ireland. But some senior members suggested that this would be good for the admissions staff to see. It's different approaches, and I don't think it's gonna screw you over. If you already submitted the application I wouldn't worry about it all...there's not much you can do now than wait and hope. I'll be sending mine out this week and will be doing just that. 🙂
All the best.

As eg77 said, why worry now? Can't change a thing.

Gather you are like most medical students (including the Irish ones) who always ask your fellow classmates right outside the exam hall: "What did you write for question X? I said (insert blah blah blah)" 😀😀😀

You'll should do fine if you reviewed much of the other stuff said here and put in those things. They aren't specifically looking for things relating to Ireland; that is not the be all and end all of directions to take. If you read some of my and others' previous posts, adding positive things to say about Ireland can't hurt your cause. If you've worded your PS right wthout comments about Ireland, you may be have come out of it even better than with saying things about Ireland ... just wait and see.

Speaking of ABP applications... When do you find out the results?.... Do they send you rejection letters?

Cheers,
FHM

I am pretty sure that applications are not sent to Ireland until January and the adcoms start sending out acceptances in March. I think at that time they will notify you if you are not accepted too.😎

For those of are currently in Ireland, or have been accepted. Is there a time limit within which you need to notify Trinity for confirmation of your attendance there?

I can only speak for UCC but I had less than a week to reply and I doubt that Trinity will give you much more. They want to know if you are coming so they can give the spot to someone else if you are not. cheers,
M

guys it seems that you know what you talking about. I am thinking of eventually working in UK. How do u go abouts seeking for he job. Is it just irish medical times, or is there other sites to lok for jobs as a junior doc.
Wud appreciate any help what so ever.
cheers
Raj
