PS too short?

AMCAS character limit is 5,300. Is it *normal* to have a PS that's well below that mark? (I know normal is subjective...bare with me)

I keep re-reading my drafts and tweaking it and while I think there's so much more I can add, I feel like it almost comes out forced. I don't like that.

Anyone have experience with writing a PS that's well under the character limit?

*DISCLAIMER* By "well below" I mean, a PS around ~4,000 characters.

I don't consider using 4000 out of 5300 characters to be "well below the mark." What you propose is an acceptable level of succinctness, IMO.
