So I'll be starting PT school next month but already have all my current loans on the PSLF program (undergrad and masters). I went ahead and 'grandfathered' these loans in so that if the doomsday scenario of the program getting axed occurs I'll be ok. Provided they honor loans already on the program.

Does anyone know if I'd still be able to use the program for new loans after PT school? Just curious how this would work.

I'm pretty sure it's a 1 time only consolidation, but im not 100% sure

Not sure, but I know that NHSC is on the table for DPTs comin' out. That's a 50k loan foregiveness 2 consecutive years for a 100k total while making your regular salary. Try to follow how that holds.

Contact financial aid....if they happen to be completely useless like a lot of them, then maybe you can find a number to call for the pslf program?

There's new student loan article everyday as well.....I'm leaning towards thinking that program is gonna stay as new systems eventually get put in place for education costs.

Will do! That would be awesome to get that type of forgiveness. Now that you mention it I think the loan holder should be able to supply solid info on that so I'll contact them and report back for others who may be curious.
