Hello! I’m currently an OMS-II at a Texas DO school and am gunning for a psych residency upon graduation. Is it imperative that I take the USMLE to be competitive for a psych residency now that the completion has gotten tougher? If so, what score should I be aiming for? Thanks so much.

Look at the interactive Nrmp tables for 2018. While it’s always better to have a solid usmle than to not, it’s also possible to match with only comlex.

A solid usmle imho is studying your hardest and smartest with no regrets later on. But popular opinion is that >240 is pretty good.
