I've heard the psych shelf can be insidiously difficult. Has anyone had this experience (easy rotation, hard shelf) with Psych? How hard have people studied? Any good books out there?
I thought it was the easiest shelf. I used only 2 books: BRS Psychiatry and Current Clinical Strategies: Psychiatry. Of all the shelf exams, it was the easiest to prepare for--the amount of information you need to know for 3rd year psych is very manageable. You'll benefit if you've had medicine already, but it's not absolutely necessary.
