NASA's plan for unstable astronauts: Duct tape, tranquilizers

• NASA has a plan for dealing with a mentally unstable astronaut in space
• Instructions: Bind the astronaut's wrists and ankles and tie them down
• Inject the out-of-control astronaut with tranquilizers if necessary
• A gun would not be used; a bullet could pierce a spaceship and kill everyone

It is rumored that the next Doctor Who companion will be a medical student. Now that's an elective I would have loved - travelling through space and time!

Space tourists!? That's definitely an enriched group of nutters.

They should be hiring a full time psychiatric staff for the space station soon if they let too many space tourists on the Mir.

What's up with the limited formulary? Only oral and IM haldol and valium?? No antidepressants, no atypicals? pfffft government bean counters just won't shell out for the wonderous Invega, Rozerem, Ambien CR cocktail.
