My current psychiatry residency program is located in Indiana. It offers an exceptional, supportive domain, including its faculty and residents. It’s a fantastic position with enhanced training experiences and great employee benefits. Compared to other residencies, you work around 40-45 hours per week second year, and similar family-friendly hours as a PGY-3 and 4. The program director is very well-connected and prioritizes residents' mental health over everything else, which brings continuous growth and new opportunities for everyone. However, I am looking to change the location of my training for family reasons.
