I did a search to see what people are using for this, but I can't seem to find anyone mentioning it specifically. Is it safe to assume everyone is just using FA?

I am going to roll with FA only. I am taking psychiatry now and I have been correlating it with our lectures. I feel it has covered everything great. I'll shoot an email out to some third years.

According to the Kaplan bank, the majority of "difficult" to answer behavioral questions are really in the realm of pharmacology. Ethics questions only have a handful of "exceptions" rules to know, and then use your common sense. Psych diagnosis is something you need to learn, but pretty straightforward with a slight twist here or there. But Kaplan lumps all the pharmacology to treat behavioral and personality disorders into the "behavioral" category. If you know your pharm, then that should include the anti-depressants, anti-psychotics, etc., and that would seem to be half the battle.

I liked HY Behavioral. It was an "afternoon by the pool" read. I didn't feel pressured to get through it if I didn't have time, but between HY behavioral and UWorld I felt pretty well set on behavioral.

Agree with this. HY is a very quick read and seemed to help a lot. Moreso than the section in FA IMHO.

Thanks guys.....tomorrow I am going to take a quick run to the bookstore and get HY Behavioral. I'll go with FA as an intro and then read HY twice.

For Step 1, the majority of psychiatry questions will be based on drugs and their side-effects. I would recommend knowing this information over criteriae for diagnosis, except maybe knowing the general criteriae for MDD, schizo, and bipolar I and II (on shelf exams however, the criteriae for diagnosis become much more important to know). For Step 1, I would just know the different psych drugs from your pharmacology book and know them well.
