This question is for those of you who are familiar with psychodynamic therapy. If you have the time, can you please check this link out and give me feedback as to the breadth of subjects covered in this particular program's curriculum? I am interested in training in psychodynamic therapy, but honestly don't know how to judge the program's content. Below is the link.

Thanks in advance!

Hi. I looked over the course offerings and it looks pretty solid in terms of the breadth and depth of subject matter covered. It seems to hit all the major high points of psychodynamic theory.

That said, I'm not familiar with this institute and cannot speak to the quality of their training or teaching. I gather this is intended for master's level clinicians or social workers with an MSW?

This is a well-regarded program that evolved, I believe, out of the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute and has deep ties to UChicago. It looks like a very thorough curriculum and you would clearly get linked to a broad community of psychodynamic practioners (across a range of licenses). I admire the thoroughness with which they teach development and wish professional psychology schools gave close to the same attention to providing (and requireing) a good developmental sequence. I also like the research emphasis. My only concern would be whether there is adeqate attention to how other interventions (CBT, DBT) relate to this model and when/how techniques from other models might be indicated.
