Although I'm in a six-year pharm program, I was curious if there is anything like psychology (counseling, etc. as well) and pharmacy combined, or how I can implement both in a career.

PGY2 in psychiatry or PGY1 that is psych heavy or in a psychiatric facility...

You could also enter into collaborative practice agreement in select states with a psychiatrist either at a community clinic or private practice.

The VA would also be a good option as they also allow prescriptive authority. But this may require residency..

I would argue that psychology is involved in medication adherence/compliance. Working in an ambulatory setting or at an independent may allow for more time spent on medication therapy management, patient education, etc. which involves psychology/counseling...

Well if you're going into retail it might not be bad to take a class on drug addiction ahahahahaha.

It would be good to know about drug addiction in whatever practice setting you may end up in as it isn't limited to retail... They do cover drug addiction in pharmacy school, though; at least they do at my school.
