Does anyone have any good resources in regards to PT mobilization with PICC/Central lines, femoral art lines, perma/quinton caths? Also looking for precautions and contraindications to PT.

I've done my search through pubmed, google scholar, apta/ptj...I'm look for some solid peer reviewed articles, but my research skills seem to be lacking. Any help would be great, thanks.

Search for articles from UVA and Andy Poole. They are leading the way in early mobilization/acute care PT!

Oh and duh (brain fart on my part), search around for some articles out of Duke...we mobilize patients on ECMO, which is pretty unheard of. Hopefully that helps!
