There are about three schools that are accredited through CAPTE. They are all accredited for masters instead of doctorates. Aside from that, it sounds like it would be a good experience. Can anyone provide the positives and negatives of getting your degree overseas?

Thanks.

I looked into that at one point. Lol I wanted to go to school in Puerto Rico. (Kinda overseas. Lol)
The pros I think would be
-awesome life experience! Learning a different language & experiencing a different culture.
-super affordable tuition (at least in PR)

& the cons
-if you enroll in a masters degree program.. you would have to go back to school before 2020 since according to the apta vision 2020 all pts will have to be dpts.
-if you don't know the language you might find yourself pretty screwed.
-international tuition if outta the states.

I personally wanted to do it because I like to travel but I think I'll just leave that for after I graduate! 🙂
