One of things I looked at was the Clinical Education curriculum: how they integrated it, the length and number of internships, and where the contracts were set up.
During my research I found most schools give you some exposure in the beginning of the second year, and then you spend almost your entire third year doing internships. However, some programs have an extended internship (8-12 weeks) in the second year after you've learned enough material to stay afloat in an outpatient orthopedic setting. Maybe take a look at how each program your interested varies in how they integrate this component of the curriculum.
While most programs tend to be in the 32-40 week range for Clinical Education, the number of internships can vary and the requirement for settings can vary. Most schools require at least one outpatient and one inpatient, but this would be a good question to ask. Depending on your preferences you may only want to do three different internships so you can spend a larger chunk of time in a speciality you know your interested in, or maybe you'll want five different sites so you can try different specialities and see what each one has to offer. Depends on your preference, but this seems like a good talking point as well.
Ask about the contracts they have and how the site selection process works. It's unlikely they'll have too much information on their website about this and I'm sure the program would love to talk about it.
Cheers
