is it hard to keep a relationship while attending PT school since its pretty intense?

I will say that the beginning of my first semester up until my first test was definitely a transition time for not only me, but my SO. (We also had recently moved in together just prior to me starting school).

Now that he's adjusted to my schedule we're "getting along" a lot better. He knows that I need to study and respects that (and is my cheerleader) 🙂

As long as you have someone who is supportive, then you should be just fine! I definitely think it has the ability to make or break a relationship, but we sat down and really hashed things out once I started and I think that it was for the better.

There are lots of people in my program with SOs; one of my guy classmates flew out to Minnesota for the weekend to visit his girlfriend over our break, and everyone seems to be doing ok with the balance.

My school has a mentoring program and my mentor has been married for 7 years, plus I have a few other 2nd year friends who have been very helpful to talk to when it comes to finding the balance between work/school and personal life/SO time.

So, yes, lots of people make relationships work, and lots of people probably have them fail due to school, but it's all what you put into it! 🙂
