I am a second year Biology student, I wanted to know if I get my degree in PT how can I get into PM&R after that? do I need to take MCAT? do I need to go to medical school and finish 4 years, then apply to PM&R?! Can I directly apply do PM&R w/ my PT degree?

Thanks

It depends on what aspect of PM&R you want. If you want the rehab side of actually working with the patient on their functional skills, you can do inpatient rehab with your PT degree. If you want more of the medical/management aspect of PM&R, you will need to become a physician. This would include your prereqs, MCAT, medschool, intership, and PM&R residency. PM&R is a very team orientated area where contribution is very important from all members. Do you want to be the chief or indian?

Has anyone heard of a physician assistant working in a PM&R clinic, and if so what exactly did their job entail?

PT and PM&R are two different professions, responsible for two different pieces of the pie.
