Best way to study for it? Don't. As long as you know SOMETHING about treatment planning, or even dentistry in general, you'll be fine.
I don't know if I agree w/your comment. I know of a couple of ppl who failed this exam, it's not something to take lightly. Here are some hints:
-Make sure that if your pt needs SRPs that you write down re-eval and PM for continuation of tx. (This was a big issue w/a lot of the cases my class had)
-Make sure you don't OVERTREAT, be reasonable.
-Make sure you address their CHIEF COMPLAINT right away.
-Make sure you emphasize all the med consults if pt happens to have a lot of health issues.
-Work in quads, again be reasonable.
-Make sure you follow the right steps like Emerg/CC, operative, surgical, etc.
-Utlize the dry erase board and markers to your advantage, start taking notes as you look at all the information provided.
-BE VERY THOROUGH!!!!!
Those are some things that I could remember. Good luck!!
