PTCAS E-submit/Transcripts

hello everyone,

I was wondering if I would need to mail in my Official Transcript to PTCA before I e-submit my online application to them. Can I send them my transcript after i have e-submitted and it updates itself? Has anyone experience this before?

Any helpful comments would be great

Although I haven't experienced this personally, I know that your transcripts don't have to be received by PTCAS when you e-submit, so it makes sense that you wouldn't have to have them mailed yet - there is no way for them to know whether you did or not

however, it would be pretty useless if you were going to wait to send them because to verify your application and calculate your GPAs they compare everything on your application to the official transcript - they don't verify your application, calculate GPAs, or forward your apps to schools until they recieve your official transcipts (read the instructions section on PTCAS)
