Hi everyone!

Has anyone applied to schools with unfulfilled prerequisites (such as a grade below a C)? I understand some schools allow you to have certain prerequisites to be in progress at the time of applying but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this?

I am currently taking my last prerequisite but absolutely bombed the first exam and am worried I will miss the "C" minimum requirement required for DPT schools. Outside of this one class I believe I am a competitive applicant but I am worried about what would happen if I do not pass this one class for this year's cycle. I have decided that I will continue and try for a C but will plan on retaking this class next semester in hopes that PT schools will still consider me if I retake the class for a passing grade.

I'm really nervous so any input would be super appreciated!

Thank you!

I think the majority of applicants have pre-reqs outstanding when they apply (myself included, back in the day!) Schools understand and expect this, and often will let you know how many classes can be outstanding. Usually acceptance is conditional upon fulfilling the requirements, so if you don't pass the class, you'll likely have to retake it.

I applied with a 'C' in Chemistry but I was currently retaking the course. I also explained why I did not do well in the section on PTCAS where it asks if your grades are a good reflection of you, or however that question is worded.
