Hello everyone,

So I just received an email telling me that my GPA was verified. Not surprisingly, it's 30 points lower than my actual UG gpa. I have a few bad grades that I received 16+ years ago that are really taking me out if contention. Has anyone experience the same thing? Also, does anyone have any insight as to whether each school computes their own GPA or strictly used the PTCAS. I'm starting to freak out because I went from a 3.65 to 3.36 putting me below the average acceptance GPA for most programs.

Schools strictly use the Cumulative GPA calculated by PTCAS. There are some schools that take the highest grade repeated to calculate the Cumulative GPA. Additionally, some schools use the prerequisite GPA & even the last 60 credits to determine admissions. I believe you'll be fine.

Good luck.
