Hi

I have about 8-9 years of work history, with last 4 years of full time work. I am struggling to say yes or no to this question "Release Authorization (May we contact this organization?)"

Will it look bad if I say NO?

Will PTCAS actually contact my boss??

I applied with old jobs I did in high school as an tutor and as far as I know, my old bosses were never contacted.

I believe it's a school that may contact whoever, not PTCAS... Anyway, it does not make sense for them to contact an employer you had 8 or even 4 years ago (the company may not exist, your boss may have changed jobs, or does not remember you, or you do not want your employer to know what you are doing now, etc). It would also make more sense to contact your references instead. I have never heard them contacting any employer or even references. I think it's ok to say NO to contact your previous employer.
