I was looking recently for information regarding the public option and how that may change the field of psychology. In particular, what will happen to private practices under the proposed model? I haven't been able to find much that relates specifically to psychology. I spoke to a professor today who was strongly opposed to the idea of government run healthcare, but he may have a bias because he was a cancer survivor and was able to get healthcare because of private insurance companies. Any information would be helpful. Let me know what you guys think.
