Hi,

I recently submitted a case report to a derm journal, and I listed it on my ERAS's publication section as "submitted." But I just found out that it has been rejected, do you guys still listed it on the Publication section as "submitted" or do you not list it at all?

If you already sent your ERAS application out, then I would just leave it. If you haven't sent out your app yet, it is probably better to remove it

I second resubmission. I assume they provided a list of reasons why the article was rejected...sometimes they do this.
I had a publication that was rejected before ERAS deadline - my super awesome resident and attending helped make some important alterations, and I resubmitted to a different journal in time for interview season - it was eventually accepted 👍

I would start working toward resubmission to another journal and keep it listed as "submitted." Just try to resubmit by interview time.

Recently submitted a case report for the 2014 AAP annual meeting with a resident. Should I list this is ERAS? Possibly under "Peer Reviewed Journal Articles/Abstracts (Other than Published)" with "submitted?" I won't find out if approved until after I submit my ERAS application. I don't want to look like I'm "upselling" myself but at the same time feel like I've put in extra effort that other students haven't. It is also in my field that I am applying to. Thanks for the input!!
