Hi all-

I'm giong to begin working on my MPH in Epidemiology spring 2008 at UT-Houston School of Public Health. I will also be applying to medical school as well. I would like to know if anyone has any information on becoming published. This is new to me and I've just landed a position in research as a data collector (my first research experience). So, if anyone has any advice or knows of any fellowships/internships/research opportunities that may be good for me to seek please don't hold back. My interests are in anything related to cardiovascular disease, esp. in Black Americans/minorities. Please let me know what you all think!!!!🙂

It's great that you're getting involved in research, but the time between a hypothesis and a published paper can be rather lengthy and unpredictable. The process is usually led by your PI (principal investigator), so you don't really need to be too concerned about that right now as your PI will let you know what needs to be done. Just read up on your research topic, and show interest, and you'll be ok. Good luck!
