I work in a 28 bed ER (level III) as a tech. We had a rare/interesting case involving a pseudoaneurysm and the ER doc I work with recommended that I could write a case review and submit it for publication. Our on-call general surgeon and the surgeon from the tertiary care facility said they have never seen anything like it.
Do any of you have any idea of where I should begin? The ER doc said he would gladly co-author it, but I want to make sure I have a good grasp of what I am getting my self into.

After doing your background literature search, go the Journals you might expect to submit the case report. Read several case reports . Note the structure of the case reports published. Construct your report in the same manner. Have all authors read it, make corrections, have others read it also. When you submit it, the Editors from the journal will make corrections, suggestions, etc. They will accept it for publication, or deny, and provide the reasons. Good luck and best wishes.
