Hey guys. In the past I've published two short books, one 50 pages and the other 90 pages. They were written with the sole purpose of giving them as gifts. As such, there are only a couple of copies and they're not very searchable via google. Do you guys think that they're worth including as publications on AMCAS?

Could be a cool hobby. Depends what they are about and how well you can spin it into making you seem "well-rounded."

I'm assuming you mean that you 'self-published' the books? (You pay to have the work done vs. publisher pays you for rights to do?)
If that is the case, do not mention it.

Yes they were both self-published. May I ask for your reasoning on why you don't think its a good idea?

You could put creative writing under your hobbies and mention it there. I think it's akin to someone who plays an instrument composing a piece. It shows a certain level of dedication to your hobby. Just don't oversell the publication aspect of it.

Gotcha. That does make more sense as it was by no means professional.
