has anyone interviewed with Pacific yet?

what was the interview like, what was your impression of the school and clinic?

if you have interviewed already, have you heard back?! thanks!

I interviewed there. It was pretty laid back. It was good. I liked it a lot. No hard questions. Just basic. I interviewed the week before at SCO. SCO had nicer facilities. The clinics in forest grove are a little older. Of course, I didn't see the other ones around portland.
Pacific responded about a week and a half after I interviewed. I think I am going to choose to go to Pacific because I like the small city and their program is good. (in most optometry schools, you will learn what you need to learn). Anyways hope this helped!

that was quite helpful, thanks! I have heard from many people (current ODs, current students..) that the interview is really just getting to know who you are and if you would like attending. That is awesome you heard back so quick, congrats! where are you from originally?

I am from oregon, I live about 40 minutes from forrest grove. I had the same opinion on the clinic and facilities.. my only objections to Pacific. I am interviewing with Pacific and ICO this month. If I find ICO's location and weather in Chicago decent, I may end up there due to their clinics rep. We shall see. . .

When are you interviewing? I am going on the 29th of this month.

I responded to the email on Friday saying I wanted the 29th as well. Haven't received a confirmation from Janelle yet though

Where are you from?

Clinic isn't the strong point of PUCO. They are making changes to give third years more clinic time (1 full day instead of 1 half day per week). Right now the most patients I see in a week are 2, and a lot of times only one. Like I said though they have made changes for next year and it will only get better as they iron out the kinks.

Oogily, if you had to choose again, would you still choose to go to PUCO over other schools? (still basing your decision on everything, not just the clinics)
