Hey guys. I need advice on which practice materials to purchase. I need a plethora of practice questions that would be most similar to the real DAT. I have consistently heard great things about Qvault's gen chem and bio questions. I am considering purchasing the complete q vault package, or the complete DAT boot camp package. Any input guys? T_T

IDK Y but I like Bootcamp more.. I think its a bit more challenging and it covers everything you need to prep ...Just my opinion I was in the same position as you and decided to get Bootcamp... What I did was take the free practice exams they offer and then I picked the one I liked better you should try doing that and see which one you like more.

The reason I'm torn is because a friend of mine KILLED the DAT and highly recommended the q vault bio / gen chem sections, but said the other sections were meh. How are the dat boot camp's math and orgo sections?

The Orgo section is really good what I can say is that the Math section has a lot of long calculations which we wont see much on the real DAT ... well we will see some but not as many as Bootcamp puts but to me its ok because I like the practice exams to be a bit more difficult then the real DAT

I think getting bootcamp is a no brainer. You get more usable content than you do w/ qvault for nearly the same price. The PAT is awesome, RC seems to be on point, and the science sections have been said to be the most accurate representation of the exam with *wording* similar to that of the DAT (a reason to purchase the package in its own right.) All qvault has going for it is the BIO section. Everything I've ever seen on qvault ochem / chm have been that they were mediocre.

my average qvault scored equaled my real DAT score.
I don't know why people hate on its qr and oc section. Their BIO,GC,QR,PAT are on point with BIO being a gold mine...also i feel like they are updating it? because I looked over it while helping my friend taking the dat soon and it has changed since I was using it a month ago.

I think bootcamp really requires you critically think when the DAT is a lot more straight forward. That is my take on it. However, the conceptual GC questions are very well written on bootcamp and QR was a good challenge for me. Qvault seems very straightforward in most of their questions and is actually similar to the real test.
I would still buy both though, both are great products to be honest... what is $100 worth when this one test determines whether you get accepted/rejected.
