Purchasing an Endo Microscope

I've been wanting to purchase an endo microscope. I was wondering if there were more affordable options out there for a beginner dentist to try prior to purchasing something very high end. Most of the microscopes I've come across are in the 16-20k range...

Any brands that you would recommend?

Are there places that sell microscopes second hand?

Has anyone attempted to purchase one through alibaba? Any success?

You’re probably going to pay more than $20k -$30k for a new one depending on what features you want.

If you talk with a local rep (Global is probably the biggest company in the US for scopes) they might let you keep a demo model in the office for a week or so.

You might find some used/refurbished ones on eBay. Also check with graduating Endo residents that were forced to by a scope and then sell it after graduation.

Used you can get it as cheap as 10K but getting harder to come by. Endodontist use either global or zeiss. You can try some other brands but i have no experience there.
