for in office set up what contrast (omnipaque vs isovue.. what concentration etc) do you guys use?
it is rather expensive and i've experienced using omnipaque 300 and isovue provided by ASC before. i've also used pharmacy aliquoted omnipaque in 3ml vials. never thought about the price but now i'm facing the reality that it's pretty expensive. what would be a safe and economic way to order this?

I use Omnipaque 240 and bought a box of ten 50-mL bottles for $88 through McKesson. The key for getting that contracted rate is to join a group purchasing organization (GPO). Talk to your sales representative to see which GPO to join to get the best rate. For most items, joining a GPO will not make that much of a difference, but it does with contrast.

thanks for the reply. fyi i also found an old thread above. it seems like the GPO they work through is peds pal and henry schein. i think their cost of $4.85 for omnipaque 240 50ml bottle.
